| Tigran
Ghulyan was born into an artistic family. His father, Mamikon Ghulyan,
was a victim of Stalin's repressions, he was arrested and exiled to Siberia
on his wedding day. His bride, Zaruhi, waited for him for fifteen years
until he returned from exile and rejoined her to create a family. Tigran
was born in 1965, and his father was his first teacher of fine arts. After graduating from high school, Tigran continued his education at Yerevan College of Arts & Jewelry (a.k.a. Eiramjyan Academy) and then received a Master's Degree in Architecture from Yerevan Engineering University. His architectural skills were exploited intensively after the disastrous 1988 earthquake in Armenia, when he helped to restore and build residential and other buildings. Drafted by the newly independent Armenian government into the army, he returned home from the Karabakh war wounded. Since then, he has devoted himself entirely to the artistic endeavors. He works exclusively with oil paints. He frequently exhibits at the Vernissage, a popular makeshift art gallery in downtown Yerevan. In the U.S., he is represented by a number of fine art galleries in the Washington DC area. Kertez Fine Arts Galleries makes his works accessible at the West Coast. |

Most
buyers will wish to order direct from the Artmaestro.com, the artists
US representative after viewing the works here and discussing the works
by email (gulian@hotmail.com) or
phone (301-570-8996). Prices range from several hundred US dollars to thousands
depending on size, level of complexity of scene, and whether it is framed.
All reasonable offers will be entertained.
Commissions
for special scenes are also possible. These are most easily accomplished
if a photograph can be supplied that is close to the final image or if an
earlier work is to be approximately reproduced. The buyer should also define
the size most desired. The artists email address is ghulyant@web.am.
The work can be shipped unstretched, stretched, or framed.
Whether you are buying an existing painting or commission a custom work of art, ARTmaestro gives you a framing option: upon your request we will frame your order in any of the museum quality frames shown below. If you wish to receive a framed painting, please indicate the frame # in your inquiry, and we will advise you on the availability and the price of the frame you have chosen.
